Methodology

66 adolescent and young-adult females (ages 13–25) in residential eating disorder program received 24-minute Meditation & Energy Balance Quantum Harmonic audio therapy sessions in group settings. Each subject completed a Symptom Intensity Scale form documenting symptom levels prior to and immediately following each session.

Key Findings

  • 40–54% symptom decrease per session across all measured symptoms

  • 48% mean decrease across all symptoms from start to end of session

  • Largest reductions in moodiness (54.1%) and anger (53.6%)

  • Initial session showed 41–56% improvement across seven key categories

  • Evidence of learned symptom management across multiple sessions

  • Pre-session symptoms lowered from session to session in 6 out of 7 categories

Clinical Results

Theracoustic Quantum Harmonics audio therapies provided significant reductions in self-reported symptom levels across the spectrum of emotional symptoms including stress, anxiety, fearfulness, anger, depression, moodiness and tension, demonstrating merit as adjunctive treatment.

Full Study

While reporting generally heightened adverse emotional symptom levels prior to treatment sessions, patients reported significantly lower symptom levels post-sessions in this study conducted at The Renfrew Center.

Subjects received one of the 24-minute Meditation & Energy Balance Quantum Harmonic audio therapy sessions using the multiuser ThetaPlex audio player system, delivered in standard group sessions. Sixty-six adolescent and young-adult females aged 13–25 in a residential eating disorder program participated.

Key symptoms tracked included: stress, anxiety, fearfulness, anger, depression, moodiness, and tension.

Over all sessions, symptoms decreased 40–54% depending on symptom in each 24-minute audio therapy session. The mean across all symptoms was a 48% decrease from start to end of any session. The decrease in moodiness and anger were the largest, at over 50% per session.

For a patient's initial session, the average pre- to post-session improvement averaged 41% to 56% across the seven key categories — higher overall than subsequent sessions, with evidence that subjects are learning to manage their symptoms from session to session. From session to session, tracked symptoms lowered in six out of seven categories.

Everything You Need to Know

Answers to common questions about WellAudio
and your listening experience.

WellAudio is a premium audio wellness app built on over 20 years of clinical research into sound and the brain. Using brainwave entrainment technology developed under the Theracoustic™ protocol, WellAudio delivers scientifically engineered audio sessions designed to guide your brain into specific mental states: Sleep, Focus, Relax, and Energize, on demand.

Yes. WellAudio Pro subscribers can download sessions directly to their device for offline listening. Your full library travels with you, no internet required.

Headphones are strongly recommended for binaural beat sessions, as the effect requires each ear to receive a slightly different frequency. For isochronic tone sessions, speakers work fine.

WellAudio is available as a free download on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and on Google Play for Android devices. A web player is also available for desktop users at wellaudio.com. Simply download the app, create a free account, and start listening immediately.

Regular music is designed to sound good. WellAudio is designed to produce a measurable neurological response. But the difference goes deeper than the science. It goes into how every session is actually made.

Every track is composed and produced by Rod Slane, a sound designer and audio therapist with decades of experience in therapeutic audio and brainwave entrainment. Each session is built by hand around a specific neurological target, with every frequency relationship, harmonic layer, and entrainment element placed deliberately and purposefully. There is absolutely no artificial intelligence involved in the production of any WellAudio session.

Most wellness audio on the market today is AI generated, licensed from stock libraries, or produced quickly to fill a catalog. WellAudio is none of those things. The music takes time to make because it has to. The entrainment structures embedded in each session require precision that only a human ear and decades of expertise can achieve. What you hear is the result of that craft, and your brain responds to it accordingly.
